Before you book
Rental requirements
The essentials for a smooth pickup — who can drive, what to bring, and how the car should come back.
Who can drive
You must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver license. Only the registered renter may operate the vehicle. Additional drivers must be added to the reservation and approved before they drive — unauthorized drivers are not permitted. Drivers under 25 may be subject to a young-driver surcharge.
What you need to book
- A valid driver license
- A payment method in the renter's name
- Proof of valid automobile liability insurance on request
- A refundable $200 security deposit
Mileage
Rentals include 200 miles per day. Additional miles are charged at $2.00 per mile.
Fuel
Return the car with a full tank. Returning it with less incurs a $35 service fee plus the cost of fuel to refill the tank.
Vehicle use
To keep every car in great shape for the next renter:
- Use the car only for lawful purposes and in line with all traffic laws
- No racing, off-road driving, towing, or any illegal activity
- Do not exceed the car's legal passenger capacity
- Smoking is strictly prohibited — a $350 cleaning fee applies
- Pets are only allowed with prior written consent, and a cleaning fee may apply
Late returns
Late returns are charged at the daily rate, pro-rated by the hour. A vehicle not returned within 24 hours of the agreed time, without prior notice, may be reported stolen.
Tolls, fines & violations
You are solely responsible for all tolls, parking fees, fines, and traffic violations during your rental. Any charges billed to the host are passed on to you at cost, with no added fees.
